1930_ D. Julián Barceló, born in Mallorca, Spain, founded Barceló & CO in Santo Domingo city, Dominican Republic.
1935_ Launches Ron Carta Real
1946_ Launches Ron Jacas under trademark Barceló
1950_ Manufacture of rums Golden, Amber and White, joined Ron Barceló Añejo to the product portfolio. Its unique patented amber bottle as “Pitufita”, is the exclusive property of Barceló & CO
1980_ It is made for the first time Ron Barceló Imperial, produced by D. Miguel Barceló. In the 80s, Ron Barceló heads the list of national rums.
1990_ Barceló brand became a fundamental reference between local rums, and growth led to one of the largest and most prestigious Dominican enterprises.
1992_ Begins the process of internalization with very satisfactory results
1994_ Ron Barceló started exporting products to Spain
1999_ Ron Barceló Imperial was awarded by the prestigious Beverage Testing Institute of Chicago as “the best rum in the world” Ron being the first to get the highest score 97 out of 100.
2000_ Ron Barceló Imperial was awarded by the prestigious Beverage Testing Institute of Chicago as “the best rum in the world” for the second time
2002_ Barceló Export Cia (BEICA) was created in order to develop high quality rums. This project is located in San Pedro de Macoris, east of the Dominican Republic, aimed at maintaining excellence in all phases involved in the process.
2003_ Ron Barceló happens to be present in 7 countries to 17 countries, with a total of 20 clients
2008_ on Barceló Imperial was awarded again by Beverage Testing Institute of Chicago, with a Gold Exceptional award.
2011_ Ron Barceló arrives China and Hong Kong
2012_ Ron Barceló launch Imperial Premium Blend 30 Anniversary. The most precious treasure of the private reserve of Ron Barceló.
2013_ Ron Barceló is present in 53 countries, shown sustained growth in sales.
